My name is Emily Haigh-Jacobs, I'm 18, and I’ve recently just finished my education at 6th Form. I have been offered a place at Leeds College of Art, and hence I have decided to take the place on their foundation course before going to university. During my time at 6th Form, I've had my work entered into many competitions, many with success; which gave me the confidence to pursue art further.

 

Recently, my style has expanded into new areas- to larger, more abstracted pieces- however, I still hold pertinent my trusted medium of graphite. I completed my first commission for a friend, and seeing her face upon looking at the final product was truly rewarding- something that inspired me to try immortalise whatever subject is at hand, to the highest possible quality.
